Labels for the orbitals from ligands are much more complicated and vary depending on the nature of the ligand (monodentate, bidentate, etc.). Once again, determining the labels for these is outside the scope of this activity. If you are interested in learning more about how these labels arise from symmetry, an advanced inorganic course such as CHM 417 might interest you. What is pertinent to this experiment is seeing how combined π and σ interactions affect the d-orbital splitting, which gives rise to the colors of the complexes.
